Hi Smart People,

I have two lists, one being of a group of people that work at the same place as i do one list (excel) of all employees in the office with email addresses.

Instead of looking through the whole list for the 300 people i need i know that you can build a macro to compare them and select the ones that match and eithier bold or add a number or something so i can sort and delete the extras.

Could one of you smart people build a macro for me?

here is the senerio.

Column A james, brain, peter, etc

Column B Adam, joe, james, brain, john, peter etc.

Column C is the email addresses for people in column B

I want the macro to compare them and tell me which ones match so i can get rid of the other ones and have a good list of email addresses.

Thanks again, i know someone will help!

If your data is truly in columns A, B and C; you can do this without a macro.

In column D type the formula
=VLOOKUP(A2,B:C,2,FALSE)
assuming your data start in A2. You can substitute B:C with real values such as B2:C53

when done, hide columns B and C
