Hello I consider myself a technical person and have some programming experience, but not with AttachMate and it's been a very long time since I've used Basic.
I use AttachMate Extra and open sessions to view data, enter data, etc. To login to different databases users have to end the session, launch a new one and log back into a different database using a different username/pass. Nothing can be done about having to use the different databases/logins, but I would like to see if there's a way the actual login process can be streamlined. Here's what I want to do:
(with attachmate session open and active)
1. Session > Disconnect
2. Do you want to disconnect session? (box that pops up) Choose Yes.
3. Session > Connect
4. (enter one letter of text) = x
5. <ENTER>
6. (enter text) = USERNAME
7. <TAB>
8. (enter text) = PASSWORD
9. <ENTER>
Can anyone provide me the macro code that would do this? It seems like it should be simple but I've read the help files and they aren't quite as much help as I was hoping. I've used MacroExpress before and writing macros for that was easy because you could go into record mode and anything you clicked or typed automatically wrote the code for the macro. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thank you!!
