Macro for Inserting Image in MS Word Form

Please excuse me, I'm new to macro writing. I tried using the Macro Recorder but couldn't get it to record my actions.

I have created a locked MS Word form. I need a macro that will unlock the form and allow me "Insert Image from File" and then relock the form.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

When you say a "form" are you referring to a VB UserForm or a word document that you have inserted FormFields? and Locked.

It is a word document that has form fields, locked and saved into .dot so that only the form fields can be filled in. The problem is when I lock the form, it grays out the "Insert Image from file" option. My forms as two places where I need to be able to insert an image. Thanks

I'm sorry when I said "locked", I was referring the "Protect Form" option.

I have the following macro embedded that allows the Spell Check to work because once the form is "protected" the it also disabled the spell check. I'm just not sure how to edit it to allow me to get the Insert Image from File command.

Once you have unprotected the document, you can do anything you like normally, including Insert.

Hi folks,

Um, you don't need vba for this at all - simply insert Section breaks either side of where you want the user to be able to insert the images, then leave those sections unprotected when you protect the document for forms.

And there ya go. You may need to use Continuous Section breaks if you want to insert picture files on the same page as the protected areas.
