Macola Progression 7.6.300.4

I have a user who was booted-off the network in the middle of a sales order transaction, and now Macola is telling her that she already has the file open. She rebooted her computer, I deleted all phantom user semaphores in the \users folder, and then I looked for her open Macola files in the Progression monitor on the server.

Any suggestions? I'm sure this is easy, at least it is on other systems, but I'm just learning Macola administration.

TIA!

Thanks for your reply. Here's the message:

I see now that the characters I entered were converted to a smiley face. The characters were colon, hyphen, greater-than.

In the OE setup file, manually advance the next order # by one, and try this again.

You should be able to use the Pervasive monitor to see the users and the files they have open. I'm guessing that Pervasive still has a 'phantom' user with this order open. You can delete the user from within the Pervasive monitor, and then the order should free up.

If that doesn't work, stopping and starting the Pervasive services (once everyone has logged out) should work.

Thanks to both of you for your advice. I had already tried using the Pervasive Monitor before opening the thread and that didn't work. For suggestion #1, I went in to increment the counter and it was already advanced far beyond the problem order, so I called the user and all was well. I don't know if creating new orders cleared the lock on the problem, or if the user rebooted enough times that it finally cleared the lock.

In any event thanks again.
