Is anyone hosting Macola ES and Progression on the same SQL server, both apps in production? The only concern may be the MslLockDb database. Since both apps use MslLockDb can it handle ES and Progression in use at the same time? A single user would run only 1 of the apps, not both on same workstation.
Progression's Macsql.cfg file has an entry for the name of the lock database - maybe just change that for Progression and let ES use MslLockDb ?

Correct - you cannot change the MSLockDB database for ES (as far as I know) but you can for Progression. The two databases are different so simply rename the Progression one and then change the macsql.cfg file to suit.

I do this all the time and it works without any problems - its a common requirement when someone is updating to Macola ES and is running both systems during the trail/testing phase.

I have done many Progression to ES conversions with data on 1 SQL box and no issues with MsllockDb. ES was generally used by a few people at a time during pilot phase. Then after ES go-live, Progression usage stopped. Just never worked with a customer that needed both in production.
