Macola error 3704

I recently renamed my data directory for a test co in Macola and have since named it back to the way it was per Macola but they couldn't help restore this test co.
I get a Macola error 3704 - GetCOPackages when I log into the co., there are no packages available except system mgr. Is there a way to get the co packages back in this co without starting yet another new co.

What version of Macola? Pervasive or SQL?

Macola version 7.6.4 and Pervasive 9.5. thanks

 
please post the exact error message, word for word, comma for comma.

Also please make sure there is not a single directory starting with "data" unless it is a live macola data company that you can log into.

Finally make sure that regist70.dat is in the macola root directory.

THE DATA DIRECTORY IS LIVE DATE AND WORKS FINE. THE REGIST70.DAT IS IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY. ERROR MESSAGE READ AS FOLLOWS: ERROR 3704 -- OPERATION IS NOT ALLOWED WHEN THE OBJECT IS CLOSED. IN MODULE GETCOMPANYPKGS

You did not answer my question about any other sub-directories beginning with the word "data". Do you have any? If so, rename them.

THERE IS NO OTHER DATA DIRESTORY IN THE MACOLA DIR.

 
OK one last stretch. Pervasive 9.5? Where did you get this version of Pervasive? If you did not get this from Exact or the Exact reseller network, it will not work.

I am not sure how this manifests itself in terms of an error message these days, but this could be the problem.

If you are on 76400 you must be on current maintenance. What does Exact and/or your reseller say?

PERV. 9.5 IS WORKING FINE ON ALL OTHER MACOLA COS. I DID NOT GET THE PERV. FROM THEM YOU ARE RIGHT ON THAT,BUT PAID FOR A NEW REGISTRATION DAT FILE AND THAT TOOK CARE OF ANY MACOLA ISSUES. I HAD MACOLA ON LINE FOR ABOUT 4 HRS TO TRY TO GET TO THIS CO TO WORK AGAIN AND THE FINAL RESULT WAS TO START A NEW CO. WHICH I DID AND NOW THE NEW TEST CO IS WORKING. I JUST CANNOT GET THIS ORINIGAL ONE TO WORK IT IS STRANGE. IT SEEMS TO BE A PROGRESSION EXE ERROR MORE THAN A DB ERROR? WOULD THERE BE ANY ISSUES IF I DELETED THE CO WITH ALL THE ERRORS JUST TO MAKE IT GO AWAY?
 
Not that I am aware of. However if you don't get rid of your caps lock all bets are off.

Why are you calling this a test company? What files did you copy into the new data direcrory?

The new data dir. is a brand new co. we were bought out and transferred only current a/p, g/l and po data. I did not bring in any historical data. So we could start new again. The old co. is still there also. Due to this error I ended up with two test cos. one that works and one that doesn't. I will just delete it and call it a day. thanks for your help.
 
What files did you copy over? Anything besides .btr files? Did you create a new company first?

Yes I created the new co. first and then brought over all the btr files with Macola's assistance on which ones to copy over..no other files were brought over.
 
you were probably missing the .ddfs.
