While posting invoices macola 7.5 gave the following errors: error 046 in file ADRISFIL.BTR message # 0446 and error 046 in file ADCUSFIL.BTR message # 0446
My problem is the invoice shows on the account but the A/R Balance is 0. I trid rebuilding both files but the balance still shows 0. Is there another way to get the balance to reflect the invoice amount. I also tried to repost but "nothing in range".

Please make sure the files are not read only, and that all Macola users have full rights to the data_xx directory, where XX is the Macola company you are in. Also make sure the files are not compressed.

The above will make sure that this does not happen again, but it will not fix your database. The only way to do this is to manually enter or import the data.

What version of Pervasive/Btrieve are you using?

-confirm files are not read only & user has full rights
-I'm in the process of restoring from bup never had this happen before not sure if someone is a file and hat is what caused it to lock up.
I was mainly trying to see if there was a way to rerun posting to update the cust bal file.
Thanks!

You don't need to report to update the customer balance file. Just go to AR, Processes, Recalc Customer Balances.

However, before you do this, is the Aging correct? If it is then run the recalc, if not then you need to fix the aging, I would use open item load to do this.

Dgillz,
That is what I was looking for - Thanks for your help!
fyi The aging was correct.

Please note that the customer balances in Macola Progression are not automatically updated when you invoice. This is static data and there are only 2 ways this ever gets updated, then one I gave you, and printing a customer statement.

So you need to be aware of this.
