I have no problem logging in the NT4 network with SP4.

The Mac is a G3 OS 8.5, it can see the connection of the M/S UAM volume but get a message of "lock disk" and unable to write to this volume, user was given full control on that volume. What could be the problem?

Thanks
I have the Services for Mac installed & configured with Apple Talk protocol, enable routing, and defined the zone at the NT box.

What's the name of the volume? Or mor accurately, how long is the name of the volume?
theres a limit on he length of the name...I think 52 characters

The UAM volume is a standard volume, I would not recommend changing settings of it. Add a new mac volume instead.

Thanks Zelandakh,

Added a new volume, now writting to it is no problem.

Try this:
Start:Run "winfile".
Macfile Menu: View/Modify Volumes.
Dbl-clk the volume in question.
Under Volume Security, uncheck "This volume is read-only"
