mac printing problems

I have Macintosh print sevices installed on the 2K Server shared out to the Mac. The server has a HP Deskjet 970Cxi installed on it. The Mac can find the printer. When the Mac prints to the Win2K server printer this is what I get on the page. Tried to print many different types of docs. drivers are from HP with updated patch.

What protocol are you using on your network?
Is Appletalk active on the Mac in question?
Does the Mac function normaly (network) other than the printing issue? has this printer config worked previously with this Mac?

Have you specified a ppd file for the printer? Had the same issue with a HP 1220c. You can use the default Adobe distiller one if like.

The only problem I have then is getting the printer to print in colour. So I think you and myself need to find a ppd file for those printers.

The other thing you need to worry about is illustrator eps, they will not print well. Due to no rip!!! If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

Try adobe ps printer, then provide PPD for your printer
