MAC can't watch movie

Hey guys,
I wanna to watch movie(VCD *.dat extension). I was trying to install Media Player(Mac version). But it doesn't support the cd. Another PC of mine(winxp), it does support the cd when I was using media player to watch it. Do you guys have any nice, freeware third party software to recommend me? thank you.

and search for divx
et yourself one of the plugins, and then you can watch the vcd files in your quicktime

QuickTime will play VCD's on a PPC Mac, or search for "mac vcd" and try the freeware & shareware
