When you are given someone's voice mail and you want to press "0" to get the receptionist, an automated message informs you that the "operator is not available". We have checked the AA Status and it is fine. Is there an easy way to fix this?

Also, we have a phone that is not supposed to have a mailbox but on the display it says "message for you". Can anyone explain why, and how to get rid of it?

Cheers

Access the voicemail, then go to option 5 and verify that the operator extension is programmed.

Press feature #65 to remove the msg indicator.

Thanks for the fast response. Could you be more clear regarding the question concerning failure to reach the reception? I tried a couple of things, but would appreciate a step by step explanation, if possible.
Thx.

do feature 982 log as "operator" ie key in these letters
set attendant status to avbl ..and specify the attendant extension ...- this is true if everyone 0s to the same receptionist ...if not do as norstaroption says ...

there will be mailbox associated with a phone ...maybe someone who doesnt have a phone ...like the receptionist personal mailbox ...or telecommuting employees ...

and actually this is a question for the norstar forum ...
