Does anyone know where can I get a manual for a 3904 phone for configuring it on the switch?

I am doing it directly on the switch and have never had one of these phones before and it is getting really annoying not being able to program the buttons I just keep getting lots of sch codes telling me that key is dedicted to ....

the config is the almost the same, build a new set, don't add keys and print it, those default keys are the basic diff between 3900 and 2000 series phones. the class marks are the same, most of the ones that end with an A, allow something "add" turns on a display ndd turns off a display, we all hate software that we don't understand. i am starting a i hate java club (lol)

quite a few keys on the M3900 sets are reserved for particular features (key x is reserved for PARK, key y is reserved for CONF, etc.) Your best bet is to add your ext keys, then print out the phone. You will then see which keys are already assigned to which features. For your MWK key, once you've assigned MWA in the CLS your MWK key must go on key 16. I've attached a print of my own M3904 set so you can now see what goes where:
16 MWK 2998 (message waiting)
17 TRN (transfer)
18 AO6 (conference)
19 CFW 16 2021 (call forward)
20 RGA (ring again)
21 PRK (call park)
22 RNP (ringing number pickup)
23 SSU 0001 (system speed call)
24 PRS (privacy release)
25 CHG (charge)
26 CPN (this is a default key)
27 CLT (this is a default key
28 RLT

I have programmed some of the buttons but they dont seem to work. ie call pickup wont work and call forward doesn't work?? Anyone have any ideas? I guess my software version supports them as does recognise the 3904 type?

for call pickup you need to set your CLS to PUA (pickup allowed) and also define the RNPG. Is the call forward key assigned on key 19 when you print the phone? If you post the set we can better show you what you're missing.

Just to make your life more fun, you will probably needed to flash the firmware on the set.

all cls are set correctly. I am running sofware version 24.25 does this support these range of phones or is it only release 25 +?

There is a 3904 manual in the filing cabinet to your right (Or left if youv'e switched desks !!!!!) (If you haven't moved the cabinet that is :) )

I have the manual and it does say soft key s were introduced in release 25, I was just looking for confirmation from somebody. Did you ever look into having the software upgraded to 25?

Only as a consieration for OTM / Succession ..... when I put forward getting 3904/5 for Nottm (as in Paris) was told too costly :-(
Email what you are trying to do.
