I recently purchased a 3904 from an office that was closing but realized after it was a PBX system. Recently though I've seen my neighbor's home office set up with a similar Nortel phone with an ACM and ATA running 3 lines from the regular analog jack.
I've seen both the ACM and ATA for the 3904 online but before I purchase I was wondering if it's also possible with this set ?

Thanks in advance.

Aastra makes several phones that are analog, that look like Taurus and Aries sets. It was probably one of those that your neighbor has.

An m3904 Taurus set (or any Taurus set, or Aries set, for that matter), can only be used on an M1 / CS1000 platform; maybe the SL-1 and CS2x00 too, can't remember.

you can run a 3904 if your home pc connects back to a pbx. i don't remember the package name, but you install a nortel package on each end.. it's almost obsolete since you have to have a land line to dial a did in the switch to get pbx dialtone at home.. it was meant for working from home but vpn and voip rolled out before nortel sold that many units.

it did have a data connection BUT your talking 64K total voice and data.. sorta hard to utube at that speed

I used to use the MCK extender 1000 connect to the main office. This box has analog line. You can use M2000 as well as M3900 series phones. The MCK extender 4000 is used internet connection to the MCK gateway. It can support all Nortel phones.

Thanks for all the info.... very helpful. Thanks also for the info on MCK extender. I'll see if to go that route or just sell it to an office that could make use of it.
Much appreciated.
