I have a M3904 phone that I have 2 locals on. One is a standard Dn and the other is a DID. Both have VM but for some reason the lamp comes on when there is a message on both DNs. As soon as you listen to 1 of the messages the lamp goes out. I set this up on my phone and the lamp stays on until both messages are listened to. Both phones are M3904 with the same programming. XMWK and LMPX. I tried listening to the second message first to see if the lamp would stay on customer's phone but it does not matter which message you listen to, the lamp goes out after you listen to the first message. But when I do it to my phone the lamp stays on until I listen both messages. I had changed out customer phone
with my phone and get the same results. Any help or suggestion would be greatly be appreciated.

Here is my DN

You have SMWA on your phone, but SMWD on the customer DN phone. Try changing the customer phone to SMWA.

allenmac,
Tried that and still have the same issue, also tried reversing it so that my phone had SMWD and have the same result.

Are there any differences in how the mailboxes are configured? Does x2753 appear on multiple telephone sets?
Does x5800 appear on multiple telephone sets?

allenmac
Checked on PBX and Call Pilot and they do not appear on any other phones.

It seems to me that there must be a difference in the interaction of the MWI commands with each telephone set. The challenge is going to be determining why there is a difference.

For your phone, is the mailbox number different than your key 0? Is this also true for the other phone? If not, can you configure the other phone so that the mailbox dn is not on key 0 to test?

allenmac,

No on my phone 2810 on Key 0 is my mailbox and 5800 on Key 9 is the test Mailbox. On the customer's phone her main mailbox is on Key 0 and her secondary is on Key 2.

I think in this case when all things seem equal, you may want to go to LD 32 and do a fwvu to make sure they are both at same firmware levels.

zoomaster,

Checked the Firmware in LD 32and I found out that the core firmware are the same for both phones with Ver 24 but the Flash Firmware are different. Customer has Ver 89 and my Phone has 90. Can I update theirs? If so, How?

Thanks
