M3904 rings 8X before voicemail picks up 3

This is an isolated problem.

Here are a few pointers:

--If another phone FDNs to 7388, it will stay ringing at this phone. To fix that, give 12-0-1-11 CLS SFA

--LHK is 1, however the phone is set to HTD, so calls do not go to the 2nd line, nor do they hunt when busy to voice mail.

--How many working voice mail ports do you have?

Good points.

I have changed 12 0 1 11 CLS to SFA
In addition I have now also modified HTD to HTA.
I have 10 MPC DSP channels in my call pilot server.

I have noticed however after these changes and printing out his tn I now have a field EHT ** (Not sure what EHT is or what value should be in there) At this time, his phone no longer now routes external line on his DID 7388 to his voicemailbox.

Disregard my previous dumb statement for EHT. It should be 7399 (voicemail). (It's early, monday and not wise to be tinkering with the company president's phone this early.
 
EFD and EHD are external hunt and external forward. The simple solution is to enter your voice mail # in there. This is used so you can send external numbers to a different place to internal numbers if you wish.
Here is how it is set up per the book:

EFD x...x External Flexible call forward DN (a Group Hunt pilot DN
can be entered)

This is the DN to which external no answer calls are
routed when Class of Service is Call Forward by Call Type
allowed (CLS = CFTA). Must also have CLS = FNA.
EFD is only used if one of the following customer options
are defined in LD 15:
• FNAD = FDN
• FNAT = FDN
• FNAL = FDN
Listed DNs, Departmental Listed DNs and prime DNs are
accepted as valid input. For Release 16 and later, EFD
can be up to 13 digits.
 
Blank Field EFD was the problem for the external line not picking up. Sorry for posting a silly problem that required basic line entry solution. (I must've had early friday rush home / Early Monday sluggish syndrome)

So to recap for anyone ever having this issue. EFD must have mailbox number in field to pick up external calls and HTD,SFD, should be changed to allowed as HTA and SFA for hunting and allowing calls to mailbox.

Thanks GHTROUT and trvlr1. Good catches on my oversights.

Just to clarify your definitions and elaborate on TRVLR1:

CFTA (Call forward by Call Type Allow) in CLS opens up the EFD/EHT prompts to separate hunting/forwarding destinations between internal calls and external calls. If FDN/HUNT/EFD/EHT are all set to the same number, then EFD/EHT are not needed and you can program CFTD (Call Forward by Call Type Deny) in CLS to remove those prompts.

Also, SFA is only needed for secondary forwarding if you want to forward to a user before forwarding to voicemail.
