i programmed an M3904 where an M2317 used to be. I outted and rebuilt it, put some hotlines on it, and customized the labels with the names of the people the hotlines pointed to. Well, a couple of days later the phone reverted to an M2317 again. and the date on the bottom of the TNB was not the date I changed it, but rather the date of the last change I did to the M2317 set! so i outted it again, and rebuilt it as an M3904 and the names on the hotlines showed up automatically! I didn't have to retype them in. Have you ever heard of this happening?

If you outed the 2317 I do not think it's possible for it to return, once that database information is gone and the TN is available it's gone. unless your switch did an INI and reloaded the information.

As far as the 3904 is concerned, when keys are programed with names or intercom numbers, that information is saved in the device. If you replace that 3904 with a new one you'll find there are no names just DN's. So the 3900's store the data at the set when programed at the set.

Be sure to keep your Flash Download patches upto date. Flash Downloads are in LD32, .fdlf TN#, 3900's have unique problems when the version of Flash Downloads are not up to date.

If you are not doing a LD43 .edd after building phones, I suggest you should. Any informtion not saved is lost if the switch goes down or there is a INI before the Midnight Routine.

Good Luck
