When buying add-on m3904's or i2004's, do I need to worry about the apha-numeric characters (i.e. "GA70") shown after the "NTMN34" or the alpha character (i.e. "BC70E6") shown after the "NTDU92"? I understand there is a Phase III M3904 model. How is this phone denoted in the model number? Sorry for the simplicity of the question, I am new to the "Nortel" world

the rls is very seldom an issue.. the larger that number the later the rls.. ie a nt8d14ak is older then a nt8d14ba.. 99 percent of all nortel equiptment will work with with any older version nortel equiptment.. back in the 70's nortel came out with the "Evergreen" statement.. basic statement that when you buy upgrades the older hardware woult work.. that was true up to about rls 3 when qpc's died and later when the 2317/2009's died... but for the newer aom's.. they do work cross with older rls's
