Hi,

I am attempting to figure out a Meridian Opt. 11C. Most of the phones on the network are M2317s, however we are looking at switching to the M2616 (because apparently they're taking the 2317 off the market completely). Nobody here, myself included, has any real experience with this system, and most is book-learning knowledge from reading what we've been able to find.

We understand the that it's under the KEY command, but we don't know what everything does. The only one we've deciphered is ADL, and we know the SCR stuff for KEY 00 and 01. Does anybody have a list of commands available for use under KEY that would tell me how to program this 2616?

Any information would be appreciated.

Oh, and we also need to know how to figure out which key goes with which button on the phone. That's been fun trying to decipher, as well.

Thanks!

go to nortelnetworks.com and download an input/output administrator guide. Look under LD 11. There is a list under KEY in the alphabetical section

Here's a basic printout from one of my 2616's for button placement. Just keep in mind I am on release 21.23 so my CLS entries may not be as up to date as yours.

Simple as key 0 is the bottom right key of the 2616. Key looks like this

key 15 key 7
key 14 key 6
key 13 key 5
key 12 key 4
key 11 key 3
key 10 key 2
key 9 key 1
key 8 key 0

Key 15 is usually prgmed as Handsfree and if it is a display phone the cls should be ADD or TDD. Key 7 becomes a program key for the display and cannot be programed in software as anything. The rest of the keys can be programed as any key

you've got a long way to go, but the commands are the same for the 2317 as the 2616, in cls, enter the commands that end in a. hfa (hands free allow) fna (forward no answer Allow) hta (hunt allow). enter a hunt target (vm) at the hunt prompt and a forward no answer target for the fdn prompt. Almost everything else is a default except tgar and ncos (restriction stuff) which you can copy form any set. keys are trn (transer) ao6 (conference) cfd 4 (forward- up to four digits) must have fna in cls. Handfree button and the program button are free, no commands. for the button that lights and and dials mail when you have a message. use mwk xxxx (x=voice mail primary number) and mwa in class. john
