I have 2 models of the M2616 telephones one color is ASH and one is Black. I have to find a way to identify only the ASH telephones and replace them. Is there a way to identify the color of the telephone within the PBX?

Go to LD 32 and do IDU TN
If memory serves me I think

COLOR CODE: 03 = Black
COLOR CODE: 35 = Ash

Will these Codes appear if do a LD 117 inv prt sets???
Can anybody confirm NT9K16AC is an ASH set and not a black one.

Thanks...

Yes you will get the color, but it's not in that field. Here are the "03" and "35" color codes generated from the LD117 report.

When I have printed out my telephones I have come across units that has a code of 35 (ASH), when I have called the user or stopped at the location to replace the telephone the unit is actually black already? can someone explain why this happened?

Is There a way to get the telephone report the reflect the tue color of the telephone?

This is a common problem with sets that have been refurbished.

With the popularity of Black, and the mass availability of ASH and DOLPHIN GRAY, many of those sets have been re-painted to suit the market demand.

The color indicator is embedded within the phones hardware, so if you paint it, there is no way to update the color electronically by the user.
