M2616 display problems

I am running M2616 phones off an 81C. Sometimes the displays on the phones just come up with all black squres but the phone, dial tone etc work fine. To fix this we have just been unplugging and plugging in the phone untill it goes away. Anybody know why? Also unrelated to this sometimes the idle display logo (default=Nortel) does not appear at all.

The Default display logo depends on the age of the phone. As for the the phone going to all black squares, If it happens periodically just reset phone programming by unplugging the phone and plugging it back in. If it happens alot you probably need to replace the phone. Either the display itself is going to the onboard power supply to the display is going.
