I only have a few 2317 phones in use and have never had a problem with them so therefore I don't have any information or knowled on them. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some troubleshooting information on them aside from the user manuals. I have one that says contact system administrator (which is me) and I have no idea what to do. I tried to replace the phone but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Have you verified your connection with the TN and that it is good. Usually that means you have power but no connectivity with the PBX. Bring the phone back to the frame and bypass the station cabling.

Theres not much you can do with a 2317, other than a UNTT in LD 37. It sounds like the phone your working on is disabled. Have you done a STAT on the TN?

The 2317 has an external transformer.
Is the transformer plugged in and working?

I have fixed the problem. I of course replaced the phone and line. I check for continuity back to the switch. All were fine and did not fix the problem. Finally I just move the unit to a different port and that fixed it. I then tested the port by building another phone on it and it does still work. Just seems to me that that set just wanted some attention. Thank you all for your help.
