We have 2 M2250 consoles, with one LDN. We are on release 5.5. It use to be that when the main line was called both consoles would ring at once, therefore allowing either console to answer the call. I know this to be true but our support says that is not possible and there must have been a bug in the system. Does anyone know how to make both consoles ring on the 1st incoming call when both consoles are idle? Now it just alternates between consoles.

consoles are "almost" acd sets.. not meant to ring in tandem. we trashed ours and installed 3905's with acd plus mcr's for code calls..

i have send calls to a central analog device (buzz, ring or chime) and had the console use dn pick so any operator could answer.. that was back in rls 15 or so

John,

So the call would ring an analog phone (separate from the console). what is DN pick? Is that DN pickup? sorry for the questions.

so going to 3905's with MCR (not familiar with MCR) did you loose the functionality of establishing wakeup calls?

The only time both consoles "beep" is when a call enters or reaches the queue limit settings. The queue only exists when all consoles are on calls. Otherwise, it is not a queue. A queue means a "waiting line to reach an open position"

So, if you have an idle console waiting for calls, it will beep. The other one will not hear a beep or tone because it is on a call.

If both consoles are idle waiting for calls, the one that has not had a call last, will be the one that gets the caller first

It has been this way since I saw my first console 29 years ago.

not with the hosp package.. just program a key with the feature codes.. yes pick=pickup..

key 0 mcr 1000
key 1 mcr 1000
key 2 mcr 1000
key 3 mcr 1001

lhk 3.. two phones, key 3 on the second mcr 1002.. now you can get 8 inbound calls without a busy signal... if station 1 answers line 0, her lanp goes dark, station 2 lamp does not.. all her lines are still waiting for calls.. soft transfer keys, soft pick keys.. make it work pretty sweet.. change your nite data to match your day pattern prior to removing your consoles...

use forward of bfs keys IF you need a unique night pattern..

you can use all your hosp feat without a 2250..
