Hello everyone,

Here are the series of clues to my problem...

* Had to do a PBX reboot (Had to... Company upgraded the generator and for the electrical work, the vendors had to cut the circuits and all of our systems had to come down for some time.)
* Everything seemed fine, but
* Our console phone was in 'night' mode and when tried to bring it to idle... it didn't respond.
* As a result, performed hard reboot.
* When the M2250 console phone came backup, the console phone displayed '01-Jan-89 09:00 AM.' (I wish turning back time was this easy...)
* Ran some diagnostics on the phone and found the 'Data Port Failure Code A0H' which states that The RS-232 has failed the loop back test.

What to do, Please HELP!!!!!
Thank you,
Seavine

have you unplugged it from the amp cable and reset it that way?

I have physically disconnected the 25 pin connector from back of the console phone as well as from the diagnostic menu. Would this be implementing it via the amp cable. If not can you show me how!
Thank you

Do a prt of the 2250 collect the TN's associated with it and make sure they stat as enabled. Make sure your time is correct in the PBX after your reboot.

there is only 1 amp connection.... as trvlr1 says, make sure the tn's are enabled, in fact in LD20 prt the 2250 and post please

Thank you for the feed back.
Here is the output. The TN shows up as enabled.

You cannot enable the power tn's. They should report DSBL when you stat them.

What is programmed on 6 0 2 3? It is unusual for the 2 active TNs to be separated from the power TNs

I beleive the power TNB's are supposed to be disabled.Try going to the console and unplugged the headset and then plug in the regular handset and do dis/enl on tnb's

6 0 2 1

18 0 8 0
6 0 2 2
18 0 8 1

ok. the pwr tn's look good and they should stay disabled.. I think you have a bad console or two! I would order new ones. They probably fried when the power came back is my guess.....More than likely though, they are toast!

The 6 0 2 3 is a regular user phone (2008). I did try disu and enlu on the 4 TNs as well but with no result. I believe I do have a spare console phone. Let me give that a try and see if it will do the trick.
Thanks everyone for your help, I'll be sure to post the result soon!

Unfortunately the spare console phone yielded same error.

* After a reset the console phone displays '01-Jan-89 09:00 AM' and cannot get the console phone to come out of the 'night' mode. (All other phones show correct time)

* Diagnostic of the phone shows 'Data Port Failure Code A0H' which states that The RS-232 has failed the loop back test.

What to do.... Please let me know, thank you in advance.

Have you reset the correct time in LD 2 yet????

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Are you using a handset or headset? I know this sound crazy ,however I always have the reception remove the headset and then try a regular handset. Then try disconnecting the RS232 cable and re-connecting then have them press the half moon button on the console.

.... I noticed, that after reboot, my phone (ten 6.0.9.6) is idle and has a dial tone and all but is acting up little funny. It seems to have this delay for primary dn button. Even when I tried to make an outbound call, the number input seems to be really slow and can get to complete the number input... So happens that the console phone is also in the 6.0. tn range. Does this find help the troubleshooting?
Thank you

We only use the handset. Thanks for the suggestion.

You need to make sure both TN's are enabled not just one, however this does not seem to be your problem. You might want to try an INI, you might have some corruption from a bad load.

This doesn't seem to be a Console problem, but a system problem and I think you should call a Vendor in.
