M2211 on a BCM400

Trying to get an M2211 wireless handset on line in a bcm400. Can not assign an ext and the handset says no GW once powered up

Do you have a 2245 controller conected to the network and configured properly? You have to have one for these sets. It acts as a proxy for all the wireless ip sets. Your 2211 will get its ip address, gatway and subnet mask from it, not the BCM directly.

Thanks Dog........ It looks like I will need a 2245..... was told yes, then no, now yes again....
