M1- T1 config and hardware question

Hello, I have an M1 on 23.18.

I bought it used on ebay and don't have all the manuals. I am in the process of placing and order to ugrade to 25.4

I don't have access to nortel.com to search for manuals.

Can anyone send me a configuration guide to install T1 PRI? I also need to find the pin outs of the Digital trunk card.

Basically, the TMDI gets installed in a particular slot. That slot gets configured for the card. The cabling attaches to the option 11 under the card and then attaches to a bix. AJK

Actually I'm looking for the detailed input commands for load 17(?) to configure a T1-PRI w/DID's and what are the physical pin out's on the 25 pair cable from the slot?

don't look like your to far away.. that;s the good news, the bad is if it is a pri, take it out, remove the config in ld 17 cequ and put it back in as a pri isdn yes, then add the d in 17, chg adan new dch x.. make sure BEFORE you do that in net data has isdn yes..we can post a pri and the sample config, if that will help.. if this is a t1, you need 24 channels and then go home, if it's a pri you have a couple of hours left

John, A Nortel M1 sample would be a great help. I have this T1/ISDN in my lab. I have it configured on Avaya S8500, G3, and Cisco Call manager/2811 router. This is the first M1 I have set up.

The configuration for the Voice Only PRI is as follows:

PRI Type: National

Outstart to Customer: Wink

D Channel Configuration: FAS

Hunt Direction: Forward

Termination: Smart Jack

T-1 Line Coding: B8ZS

T-1 Framing: ESF

Qty of Digits to Pulse: 4

Trunk Groups: 1

Total Number of Circuits: 1

you'll notice that i try to match all my numbers, loop route dch etc.. that helps on trouble, i don't care to have loop 156 and route 26 and dch 9 etc.. if you add a pri qsig between any of those test boxes i can post a copy on my qsig pri back to my cisco,it's worked here for several people to several types of switches

thanks that's good info. I also found out the DTI needs daughterboard for d-channel.

after you add the daughter board, enl msdl x fdl in 96 to add the dch software to the card.. you'll get sdl 100, good thing, download in progress.. two switch settings the one to wactch for is the device number, it must be unique to your switch, it is an interupt.. match it and the switch does down.. map msdl in 96 helps a lot in other switches
