Hi,

Is there any foolproof CTI solution for M1+Symposium call center environment with 200+ Agents except the TAPI ? I mean some variations of Symposium TAPI service provider.

Thanks in advance, any experience greatly appreciated.

HA!! Fool-proof and CTI don't belong in the same posting!! Shame on you!!! Symposium TAPI SP is the only manufacture solution. I have worked with some "home grown" solutions over the last few years. But and this is a big but; you will get very little support from Nortel on any issues that may come up. Nortel would rather you use the TAPI product that they have made with Microcrash!!

Good luck!!

Why don't you call GeoTel or Genesys. You can use the Genesys TServer to provide you the screen pop and let Symposium do all the routing. It's actually a great product and works well with Symposium.

Just don't get snookered into trying the entire Genesys Suite of products. I think those were designed for an Avaya switch instead of a Nortel.

Just my Opinion.

janaya, how does the CTI server integrate with the M1 and Symposium?

thanks

Hi,

Genesys was, during a time, property of Alcatel, so made more for Csta, not for Tapi. So far as i know, Tserver can work wih Meridian Link, using the Symposium as gateway (same way as NTSP), but i think that the solution with a Tapi Server is better, to trace problems.
I know examples of full Nortel Tapi solutions working well (around your example, i mean around 300 agents), so i do not agree at all with WorkingMan. Sure it's not really easy to setup on a secured Lan, but a well installed Tapi is a fine tool ... i know some i did setup in 1998 and still working (Ntsp 2.1 with SA installed on each pc... :) )

Am getting old :)

We use Genesys With symposium , option 81 , and edify IVR.
Works fine.

Take a close look at Upstream eMedia. You can use the stream on the local machine to fire many varied events such as digital recording line and trunk side, phoneset state manipulation, etc.
