Hi,
Can anyone please direct me to some where or someone other than Nortel.Com or Nortel directly to obtain software for an Option 11C x210300 we desperately need the software to move over to the PCMCIA card so we can reinstall the system. Any help, please.

Hi,
Our vendor is out of business now and didnt transfer any of their accounts to other vendors so we're SOL for any kind of vendor support. Is there any even remote chance out there that someone will have this software or anyway to restore this?

software is keycoded, there is a slim chance that anyone else's software would match you keycodes.. A vendor would have access to the keycode site on Nortel.com and possibly be ably to get you keycodes and software. There are many good vendors, BlackBox, AT&T, Verizon etc

I have the keycode on a sticker on the Meridian Mail, is there any access to generic software to re-enter this key code, or can software be purchased to replace whats in the system?

if it's stuck on the mail, then it's probably only the mer mail keycodes?? it should say what it is?? What is actually wrong with your 11??

Hi,
All our system passwords have been changed by an ex staff member prior to his departure and no one has access programming is also messed up

We dont have a backup thats the problem they are also missing in action now. We're in a bad spot.

Since you do not have any usable backup to glean the file from and presuming that you have nothing on site to tell you what you're 2nd level password is (It would bypass any 1st level password changes and allow you to change the 1st level password to something else) and considering that reinstalling your system software, if you had it, would give you a PBX with none of your customized programming (not usually a 1st choice) then I think it would be time to break out your phone book, find another vendor, tell them your problem in detail and go from there.

Regards,
Harry

I concur - contact a vendor. Few people (except vendors) will dial into a system to extract passwords. The risk is too great that the requester does not actually own the system. Getting it off a database.rec file is low risk since the requester has the system in their physical possession.

and a good vendor would know how to retrieve the pwds or have the ability to change them...

It was certainly our pleasure. What did you do to resolve the problem?
