Hello I am trying to use lvm utilty. I open up and input my wav file that I have confirmed was recorded in pcm 8khz 16 bit mono. I add output file to Day.c11 which will be my day auto attendant. I make output file type to auto attendant. I make recording name Day which is my auto attendant name in my phone system. Leave format at G711. When I hit ok looks as though starts to load then I get error that says errors in conversion-please see the output table.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Look at the error file and it will tell you what is wrong.

It may not be in the correct formatt..even though you think it is...

Log file is located in programme files-avaya-ipoffice-manager-LVMGreeting--output

Open it and see what the error is.

it doesnt work in 9.1.3 - try a 9.0.x version and it works fine.

ACA - IP Telephony

DanACS is correct. I just went through this last month. I spent two days trying to make it work. Thought it was a PC Operating system problem. Then I down graded my Manager to 9.0.X and my problem was solved

I am able to convert the file now to the .c11 and input it into embedded file management but it is not playing yet. I had microsoft office 10 and upgraded to office 365. After the upgrade it converted. Now to figure how to get it to play. DanACS and HBINGER1 what copy of microsoft office do you have?

? What does M$ Office have to do with the LVM Greeting utility ?

When I went under LVM greeting folder under manager to check my output file it did not show. I noticed that the LVM greeting showed Microsoft office 365 symbol so I changed it my Microsoft 10 and it would not convert file under LVM greeting utility so I downloaded Microsoft 365 and pointed it to what was originally showed under folder and then tried. Worked when I converted?

Should I be able to open the LVM greeting folder under manager? I click on it and it just pops up and goes away. I downgraded software and manager to 9.0.800.989. Removed all pre recorded greetings under embedded file management and removed auto attendants. Re-built everything and still not playing when I access auto attendant. I rebooted software through manager and performed hard reboot. I loaded Audacity player and loaded my pre recorded greetings and they showed the correct format. What I do not understand is why my pre recorded file uploads show ALAW when my SD card is ULAW. Is this why they will not play? I can not seem to find a way to change them to ULAW. This is driving me insane I tell you.

Also I loaded my pre recorded .clp files in Audacity as raw data and they play but not clear

The steps I took to set this up
Step 1 Built 3 Auto Attendants AADay AANight AAHours
Step 2 Setup recording name under menu options as AADay AANight AAHours
Step 3 Built 3 short codes to call each auto attendant
Step 4 Load LVM greeting utility
Step 5 Under input file pointed to each pre recorded greeting
Step 6 Under output file pointed to desktop and named AADay etc...
Step 7 Under recording name named Day, Night, Hours
Step 8 Rename file on desktop from .c11 to .clp
Step 9 Loaded embedded file management went to dynamic folder lvmmail then aag. Uploaded file which showed ALAW?
Step 10 Reboot phone system
Step 11 Wait 5 minutes then dial short code for aa greeting just dead air but shows aa on screen
Step 12 Call hunt group which delays to AADay dead air
Step 13 I have no lines in this system as this is my demo.

This is my procedure:
1 convert the wav file to a aa greeting file with the name of the aa
2 upload the file to th AAG folder
3 In SSA I shutdown the SD card
4 Wait ten seconds and start the SD card again
5 Watch in sysmonitor the system to load all embedded vm files, in the end you must see it loads the AA file > may take some time to compltete!
6 then call the AA

never failed for me

What software was you on. 9.0 9.1 or both

Thanks 4 the responces. Hopefully i get this working.

Initial on 9.1 but customer nearly got a heart attack when I told him that PhoneManager Lite didn't work anymore.
So he called the office, they called me "Go back to 8.1, now". I said no, the best I can do is 9.0 as the customer has a SSO contract and Avaya will not accept a new 8.1 install(yes I am a liar sometimes and they know sh*t on the tech part of IPO). So I went back to 9.0 by just downgrading the IP Office with all the trouble it created.
Did a factory default and a full reprogramming and now it is fine.
Luckily they have only twenty phones so I finished the job in one day after all, including a AA with a converted wav file from VM Lite.

Thanks everyone. I was following the steps under faq940-7704 and step 11 said change .c11 file to .clp before uploading into embedded file management. Following intrigrant steps worked first time.

Intrigrant does lvm utilty work on 9.1.3?
