Lucent Partner system - how to copy settings? 2

Hi,

Lucent Partner system.

Last week, a technician came. We programmed one extension's button settings (18D phones), and then I saw him copy that extension's button settings to a whole bunch of other extensions remotely from extension 11.

It seemed fairly easy, he was done in no time. I should have asked him how to do it.

Can anyone tell me how?

Centralized programming.

I can program a 40 extension system in less than an hour.

copy command does not copy buttons.

I'm confused.

#399 does seem geared to copying settings, not buttons.

But I need to copy buttons, and that's exactly what I saw the technician do - he went to one extension, programmed the buttons, then went to extension 11 and copied those button settings to 10 other phones, in no time.

So... how do I do that?

Left intercom, extension number, top left button, Intercom 777, next button Feature 14, next button Intercom *71, next button Feature 05, bottom right button, Feature 01, Left Intercom, next extension number, lather, rinse, repeat.

Is it possible you lost power/programming and he was simply restoring the programming from the memory card? If that was the case, Feature 00, Left Intercom twice, #125, then the enter button (far right column of buttons, two down from the top).

Well, folks, it looks like I was mistaken. You cannot copy buttons. #399 only copies settings. That's what the aforementioned technician was doing. My bad.
