We have a 3300 Mxe with MCD 4.1 and 3 phones.Tried to create a loopback on the Mxe by connecting two LS ports, which LS1 is set as GS and LS3 as LS.

The problem is the trunks always shows 'busy' when we dial 'indivial trunk FAC+trunk no.' And the status of the trunks are kept as 'Releasing'.

Thanks

embedded truks on ASU can't be GS only LS you're scenerio won't work anyway (no battery) try looping an ONSport to an LS port.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

A loopback would normally be done by connecting an ONS port to a loopstart line.

Connecting LS to LS would accomplish exactly what you have - Nothing.

Hi All;

you can loop LS port with Ons port and it'll work fine. i'm tried by my self.

Regards

MitelMitel - There are some functions that are not available on the system when access is via an external trunk using DISA.

An example would be Silent Monitor. You cannot Silent monitor via a trunk. However, an ONS station can access Silent Monitor. If you connect an ONS station to a LS trunk you can dial in VIA DISA and use ARS to access the ONS station to gain ALL of the features available to an ONS Station.

Another example is where MitelInMyBlood came up with a creative way to use loopback to enable the ONS Non-Busy extension feature on Multibutton sets. See the FAQ page for details on this one.
