We did a "lpmove badprinter goodprinter" and ran on that for a couple days. The badprinter has since been fixed but we've not had any luck getting the queue to return to badprinter! Anyone know how to return that queue to the original printer?
Thanks! brian

We only tried a "lpmove badprinter badprinter", suspect that's not the correct command. lpsched was stopped before and restarted afterward.

ok [wink] ,
and did "lpmove badprinter goodprinter" work?

Or is your problem that you have to split the current goodprinter queue into a goodprinter and a badprinter queue?

We'd like badprinter to return to printing to badprinter, and goodprinter to continue printing to goodprinter.

When we did the "lpmove badprint badprinter" it just said the printers were the same.

Thanks, brian

Don't know then, sorry.
But my guess would be to try commands like accept or enable.

Thanks, Ken,

my guessing was faster than your searching, but you did a more solid work.

Thanks Guys!

Wound up someone went into SAM and reset that queue to accept jobs again. I was doing some "man accept" checking and got pulled into another crisis. Grrrrr, and it was getting fun!

Brian - what a very strange definition of 'fun' you have! ;-)

I do know what you mean though!
