Where's the volume control on a 2250 console? We have a replacement in for a week and she was trying to lower it????

from the NTP's:

Directly below the display screen is a horizontal row of eight keys, the dial pad, and a volume control. To
the left and right of these, you’ll see five columns of keys with indicators.

Under the dial pad is a volume control which enables you to adjust the volume of peoples’ voices.

Right but it doesn'r lower the BUZZ when the console rings... how do you lower that?

In the row of keys to the right of the key pad, you would use shift and the key below the display that has an arrow pointing to the left.
Once in shift mode, pressing the button [<-] turns the buzz tone volume down.

The console I am looking at, they are the buttons under the display and they are the center most keys. One has solid lines with arrows pointing left and the other right.

If you can access the options menu you can do it from there too. options menu 2 setting the buzz tone. Press 1 to hear a non-stop buzz for pitch- and volume-setting purposes. Then use 3 and 4 to raise and
lower the pitch of the buzz. Use 5 and 6 to raise and lower the volume of the buzz. When you have found
the pitch and volume you like best, press 2 to silence the buzzing.
Press # to return to the Options menu.
