I need some help! I am going through the traditional finger point event when ever I have an issue with T1 service. I have a Definity G3si switch at site A and a Prologix at site B. They are connected via a point to point T1 between the sites. Six channels are dedicated to Data and 17 are dedicated to voice. There is a Paradyne CSU/DSU on both ends.

When ever a call is transfered between the two buildings there is loss of volume in the call. However, when there is a call from extension to extension the volume is fine.

The vendor is pointing me to the Local provider, and the local provider is pointing me to the vendor equipment.

are you using the same T1 to transfer calls across the private network as well as transferring calls? if so, then it must be switch related. If you are only experiencing this problem when sending calls over the dedictaed T between switches then it could be one of two things that I can think of right now. bad DS1 pack on one side or the other or wrong compression on the T1.

Check the settings on;
system-parameters country-options form,
and check which rules apply to each config.

Hope this helps
Rob

I have checked the settings on system-parameters country-options form,and check which rules apply to each config.
Both switches do not have country options set or rules configured. I spoke to Avaya and they say there nothing wrong.

Is there a db setting that the phone switch needs to transfer over the T1? Is there some where were I need to adjust an add gain to a transfered call?

does this happen from either switch or is one the main culprit?

It happens from both switches.
