LOW VOICE FROM NTCK16AE XFCOT CARD

IN OPT 11 C RL 25.15 ONE OF MY CUSTOMER HAVE A PROBLEM THAT THE VOICE IS SO LOW COMES FRON EXTERNAL TRUNKS THROUGH NTCK16AE XFCOT CARD.

I CHANGED THE CARD BUT IT DIDNT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

HOW CAN I INCREASE THE VOLUME OF THIS COMING CALLS.

Hook a test set to the DN and see if the line quality from the Central Office is the problem.

Do you probe the external trunks before incoming to pbx ?

DN Is the place on your phone system that the phone lines come in from the phone company. What you can do is have a regular phone and make a test block from a external mount wire mold set.
Plug your phone into that and hook two wires to the center two pins of the wire mold (rj11) or the Red/Green Or Blue-White White-Blue.
The other end of the wires you can touch to the wire pairs coming in from the phone company and while listing to the phone you will be able to hear the line quality prior to it going though the phone system.

NOTE: this will only work if the lines are "Loop Start". If they are "Ground Start" repost and I will give you the direction for that.

MAKE SURE you know the pairs you are having a problem with so you don't jump on a data line or a line that dose not belong to your comany.
