Low cost backup software for ESXi 5.5 free version

I've just installed a VMware ESXi 5.5 free version for my small companies and is looking for a not too expensive backup solution that is able to do VM level backup. Many folks on Spiceworks suggest me using Veeam. But it's out of our company's budget. Did Google some but not sure which one is good. Any alternative you guys can suggest? Thanks!

I didnt think veeam was too costly. How much cost do you put on your company data?
