I have an unruly branch that is threatening to throw their new system out the window. They are blaming the phone system for their quality issues, but whenever I call them it appears that there is a LOT of ambient noise coming from all around. They have 10 people who love to yell and scream a lot while on the phone.
Biggest complaint is dropoffs while talking to clients. I am wondering if the ambient noise is contributing to this. Any adjustments someone can suggest would be appreciated. Also, I have messed with the sidetone adjustment. There are pros and cons to lowering and raising it. What experiences have others had?
Also, how accurate are the QOS alarms in the system staus application. There are very few alarms in there so I was reluctant to chase the network yet. No packet loss in weeks.
