A laptop running notes crashed and was restored. I have the old notes program folder copied onto another machine. Once I reinstall notes, I know I have to copy the notes user id across. Are there any other important files that I need to copy across to restore notes fully?

Thanks for your help.
George

You'll need to include the local names.nsf. It would probably be a good idea to add the bookmarks.nsf as well, and the desktop6.ndk. I'd also copy the notes.ini file to ensure that any program settings are conserved.

For the rest, if the Notes installation was standard, anything else will be recreated when the client is started.

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

In addition to his id file, all you need to copy is his names.nsf, dsktop6.ndk or 7 and also look for his local replica (might be in the mail folder in Notesdata and mobile directory, used for mailing offline.
