Lost XYLAN 9WX admin password Help Please 2

Hi Room,

I didn't mean to intrude to ur CISCO forum but i really can not find out any other forums talking about XYLAN Switches.

I recently bought a XYLAN 9WX switch off ebay, it works fine but i can not login into the management console cause i don't have the right admin password, neither the diag, i can login as user only, which can not do too much:-(

Is there anyway i can over the admin login and set the switch settings all back to factory default?(like use jumper to clear BIOS), or any other way that might help?

My management module is MPM 1G, software version is 3.4.4

Call them and ask how to do it. If not, try opening it up and seeing if there is a battery that you can unplug.

Hi Thanks baddos, they refuse to look after my matter as i don't have the support contact with them.(well, i don't need to right? I got ur guys), so i have to try to find out sth myself.

Hi.
I used to work with that kind of switches and I am sure I can help you. First do you have a console cable? if yes only connect to the switch and hit Ctrl W twice. You will be in dshell mode and just type:
d & ui_admin_passwd
on the rigth side you will see 3 passw. First admin then diag and finally user.
