Hi,
I am running AIX 5.2. Before, I started a job running at background manually in telnet session, when I logout, it asked me "There is one job running, do you really want to exit?". I choose "YES", then exit, but my job was still there.
Today, I found something different. After I started a job at the background, when I loged out, I also got the question and choose "YES". But then, I lost the running job which I just started.

Is there anyone has same experience? How can I fix this?

Thanks.

I usually just use the nohup option myself.

nohup myjob.ksh

be aware it will create an output file called nohup.out from where ever you run it.
