I have just inherited a network where I wasn't given the login info for the Definity phone system. I would appreciate any clues on how to get in. Is calling Avaya or someone else for support my only option?
If ASA is installed on any of your computers, login in using asa and change the customer password to whatever you want. If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.
Hope this helps, Mikey.
You could call and request Avaya to reset a current account.
I beleive the cost is approx $89.00 with support and $129 without support. You will have to send them a letter on letterhead authorizing them to reset the account. It only takes approx. 15 mintues for them to reset. They will have to remote connect to the system.
If the company is not the original owner of this switch, they will be required to re-license all of the software (or RTU if you will) before Avaya will give you any password access.
Now, there are ways to make the system work (as have been described in other threads), but it would make the system considered gray market.
