lost password for System center 1

I've taken on a client who's running NAV CE with System Center. They do not have the password from their old service provider. Do you know of any way to retrieve this or reset the password?

Have you tried the default 'symantec'?

Here's a method for reseting the password. It was originally posted by seanwachob

1) Shut down the service

2) Change this key in registry:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\ConsolePassword

to value 1084A085DC6BD2D755D4D6A7726

This is the default password: symantec

3) Start the service back up
