i have a windows 2000 server based network

i seem to have messed up a users data

i was migrating a user to another machine...so heres what i did

i rightclicked on the users my documents and in the properties i changed to target folder to a shared path on the network file server...now i made a big mistake...in the active directory i added the user profile directory as the same directory as before...now i guess what has happened is that the data got overwritten and now the data is lost

its not on the old local machine and overwritten on the fileserver...i have tried a few different recovery suites but the data just does not show up....could lose my job for this, it was extremely critical data

anyone know what i could try????

i would recomend contacting xlilo data recovery at they have 24 hour support and well priced all around the world. i use there services monthly.
i moved to xlilo as they are fast, honest and reliable.

hope this helps.

p.s i did a very similar mistake as you described and xlilo got the data back, all you will need to tell them is your lost folder name and send them the drive.
