Lost Exchange Full Admin Rights

An external party installed our Exchange servers but for some strange reason the person who did it removed the Exchange Full Admin rights. So now my problem is when trying to install another Exchange Server it won't allow me to install because i don't have Full Admin rights.

Í am a Domain Admin, Enterprise Admin, Schema Admin, Exchange Admin etc etc but it just won't allow me to install a new server.

I already tried logging on to one of the existing Exchange Servers with the account used to install them (That one is also just a Exchange Admin now) and tried to give itself or another account Full Exchange Admin rights but also that wouldn't work. (I know it was a long shot )

Is there another way to retrieve the rights to Exchange Full Admin? Or am i in big trouble nog and have to do a reinstall?

I would imagine the services account (which ever account you are using to start things like the information store) will still have sufficient permissions or the next time you reboot your exchange server wouldn't work because the services wouldn't start.

So, Log in as that account and give another account full access and all should be fine.

I'm afraid you're not right on that point. And for the reboot part, strangely enough we rebooted the server a couple of weeks ago and everything started fine eventhough it shouldn't, so microsofts documentation is not entirely accurate .

But i resolved my problem!

What i did is run another forestprep from a clean server and added myself as the Exchange Full Administrator then i reinstated the rights structure.
