Well this is a weird one but then again aren't all computer issues.....LOL
The issue is that when the primary server goes down the secondary server [with the queue] captures all the e-mail being sent to mydomain.com or so I thought. Last night our server went down and an e-mail was sent at 6:00am to a user account. The server didn't comeback up until 8:00am. When the queue sent the mail in the queue back to us I recieved an e-mail that was sent at 5:48am but someone else didn't recieve a mailsent 12 minutes later. The e-mail was resent and recieved. Then a flood of users mentioned similar problems in the past. When I checked the mail queue on the backup server nothing was there. and I can't find the e-mail anywhere so where might it have gone.
I am using mandrake 8 and sendmail Version 8.12.8
Thanks
