Lost Data Transfering from a PDA to PC

Hi,

I've stupidly lost data from my PDA's to my PC. I cut and paste an excell spreadsheet to the desktop, but it failed and as a result deleted the data from my pda not copying it to the desktop. Is there a temp location that it may have copied to. Is there anything I can do about this or do i have to bite the bullet.

See if a search for the spreadsheet finds anything.
If not, then it may be lost.
FWIW, 'copy and paste' is a lot safer method for transferring data.

I cut and paste all the time for speed purposes, Next time I will copy and paste and not be so lazy..
