Ok this is weird. We've been running Networker on NT for a year, with odd things here and there but nothing huge.

Anyways, we came in yesterday cause the backup was requesting a tape (even tho one was in). It was not mounted. Mounted manually, but now whenever we switch tapes, we have to go in an manually mount it (which we never did before).

Also, the Index file size for all our clients is 0KB. If we do details, we see the data is still there, but the 0KB is weird.

Any ideas what happened? Or how to fix it? (The automount box is still checked, as always...)

khyron, we had the more or less the same problem.
but when we checked the daemon.log we found that legato was telling that all drives where in use by nsrmmd, even though
they weren't. When we unmounted a tape, legato mounted a new one directly but we had to manually unmount it first.
Also with this 0kb index problem.

once we restarted networker(first stop all backups and unmount all drives) and he had checked all client indexes all was working well again. The mounting and unmounting and the index clould be seen again.
Follow the daemon.log when starting however to see if it gives errors on the indexes.
Hope this helps.

Hrm - we rebooted, restarted - still the same. So mounted manually and left it. This morning, everything was back to normal - tapes auto-mount, indexs back up.

Weird - thanks for the advice tho.
