I had AA in my flash, but when I tried a new software, AA disappeared, so i put the old software back and AA was still "not allowed". oh crudge! how do i get my AA back, is there any reseting or power cycling i can do?

Thank you.

Can you describe the situation a little more? How are you accessing the AA at this time and what do you see in the screen of the phone?

You inadvertently put in a Flash Lite software card. Even when you go back to the old software it will still be a Lite. What versions are your software cards? If you have access to a V1.7 or lower software card I have a method that should get you back to full voicemail.

I have a Flash 2ch VM. NTAB2455 w/ NT5B78EB software and it had AA, but when I tried my NT5B78EG software AA was not allowed, Im guessing it was a Lite software. So I put my NT5B78EB software back in and AA was "not allowed".

I access it by Feature 983, log 120000, AA -> not allowed.

I have heard about the V1.7 or lower technique long ago, but I dont remember it. May you explain more in detail? I have a V1.44 software sitting around somewhere.

Thank you very much in advance.

Boot it up with the V1.44, login to 983 and start a REINSTALL, when the display shows "Resetting" pull the power and insert the original software card. This should get you back to full AA.

V1.44 is only compatible with MICS R1 or any 824, 616 or 308 w/DR5, so you'll need an older system to get the V1.44 to finish the boot process.

NT5B78EB is 2.0 and the highest so there was no need to upgrade or try.

Nortel mad a bad decision coming out with that Lite version, was designed for pricing for companies that only required mail boxes and you needed a key code to open up AA/CCR.

It is recommended you destroy the card, this way somebody else will not go through same issue as keeps happening.

the software was actually a V2.1 when I check it via Feature 983, log 12000, 9. It said V 2.1.X

its the latest software and its not the lite version. What happen was when I tried a software that didn't have a label, it was a lite software, which cause the vm to reset and made it lite. So when i reinstalled my v2.1 software back, the vm was also a lite.

Oh yea, I would like to thank you guys for all your replies. And THANK YOU exsmogger for that retrieving AA trick. My VM is back to normal w/ AA.

Thanks again! =)
