I have a client who uses a program in Access XP at multiple sites. Occasionally, they say they are losing records. They enter an order one day and the next it is gone. They say they are not deleting the order. Does anyone have any ideas why this would occur?

I appreciate any help.

Cindy

Since there are multiple locations, is there any replication going on that could be causing the problem?

I'm not real familiar with replication, just a thought

No there is no replication. All sites are connected to the main office server.

Any type of overnight maintenance done on the database? Maybe a delete query runs that is deleting them?

How big is the backend? Once it hits a certain point, corruption is possible.

Does anyone have access to delete records? Are deletions tracked?

There are a lot of possiblities, just throwing some of them out there.

There are no delete queries that run at night. I'm supposed to go in and check it tomorrow I will know how big the backend is then.

At what point do you start having corruption problems?
How do you track deletions?

Thanks,
Cindy
