Hopefully I'm posting this in the right forum. If not, let me know, and I'll repost.
I administer a domain for a small company. We run some proprietary software that operates as a front end over a SQL 2000 back end, with an ODBC connection. My problem is this: several times a day, various PCs on my network will drop their ODBC connection to my SQL server. I have tried numerous fixes, including MDAC reinstalls from ver. 2.5-2.8, checking and updating network drivers and settings, etc. My network layout is as follows: Adtran NetVanta 3200 router, Linksys 24-port 10/100 switch, PDC is Xeon 2.8 w/2 gigs running Win 2K Advanced Server, Intel MB with onboard NICs, and is handling DHCP, Wins, SQL, and DNS. Workstations are all 2K Pro running on AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with 512 megs on Asus A7N266 MB using onboard network. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
