Hello,

We have 3 IPO's setup and connected through VPN connections: 2 in The Netherlands and 1 in Romania. This all works quite well, also with the hotdesk functionality Avaya offers.

However, sometimes I head a message (in Dutch) which translates to something like "The accesscode dailed is not in use. Your call cannot take place" or in Dutch for the Dutch speaking Tek-Tips users "De ingevoerde toegangscode is niet in gebruik. De oproep kan niet uitgevoerd worden."

In the manager I then find an error "Can't find an extension or hunt group called MainRO. When I reboot the IPO, the error message is gone and all works again.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can prevent/fix this?

Not too up on the Dutch telecom network but if you are getting that message it sounds like the line provider is not accepting the digits dialled. You will have to know when was dialled or what happened on the system to trigger this prompt.

Which pbx are you rebooting? And before you do can you ping the other 2?

You will need to give more info sjjan...

Use system status (if available) to see if the connection was lost
IP trunks can be seen with it

ACS - Implement IP Office

I will check on the system status (don't know how to yet, but will figure out). The message I hear is when I dail an extension 301 which is an extension on a remote IPO. Then, when I reboot my own local IPO it is again possible to dail the remote 301 extension and get that person on the line. Also, after reboot the error message that it cannot find an extension or huntgroup MainRO (for MainRomania where our branch office is located) is then gone.

I haven't checked if I can ping the remote location or the system status. I am not sure how I would do this from te Avaya interface/software. Of course I know how to send a ping from my notebook, but I remember that I could do that also somewhere from the Avaya Manager. Maybe a stupid question for you guys who are doing this every day, but any suggestions/tips are welcome :) and please forgive me. It is not my daily work.

I can monitor the IPOs, but am not sure what to log.
